CG Power and Industrial Solutions expects commercial production at its upcoming G2 semiconductor facility, operated by CG Semi Private Limited, to begin towards the end of 2028 or in 2029, as construction progresses alongside customer development and qualification activities. During the company's second-quarter FY27 earnings call on Friday, Managing Director and CEO Amar Kaul said construction of the G2 facility was progressing well, with the company targeting the commencement of the qualification process by the middle of 2027.
"The construction is progressing well, and we are targeting the qualification to commence middle of next year," Kaul said, adding that the qualification process typically takes two to three quarters. He said commercial production was expected towards the end of 2028 or in 2029.
