Indian benchmark indices witnessed a volatile session amid the monthly expiry of Nifty and Bank Nifty, with gains remaining capped as Brent crude oil prices continued to trade above $110 per barrel. The Nifty 50 settled at 22,749.75, down 3.45 points, or 0.02%.
Going ahead, a follow-through above Tuesday’s high of 22,830 will open the door for a further pullback towards 23,000 and 23,175 levels, which coincide with last week’s high and the 50-day EMA, according to Pabitro Mukherjee, Deputy Vice President–Research at Bajaj Broking.
Against this backdrop, several stocks, including Jio Platforms, Reliance Industries (RIL), Infosys, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Tata Capital, Waaree Energies and Vedanta Iron and Steel, are likely to remain in focus on Wednesday, October 28, as investors track September-quarter earnings, fundraising plans, credit rating updates, regulatory developments and new business wins.
