Iron ore remained the largest contributor to freight loading during the month, with 1.70 million tonnes, marking 4% growth year on year. Pig iron and finished steel followed with 1.127 million tonnes, up 24.4%, while coal loading stood at 0.90 million tonnes, an increase of 20.8%.
Mineral oil loading rose 79.3% to 0.217 million tonnes. Container traffic increased 31.3% to 0.105 million tonnes, while cement loading grew 23.3% to 0.037 million tonnes. Food grain loading stood at 0.007 million tonnes.

SWR's originating freight loading during April-September 2026 reached 26.1 million tonnes, registering 5.8% growth over the corresponding period of 2025.
